Our Year 4 rugby teams played a tough fixture against Hill House school this week. Whilst both teams lost, they played good rugby . They all enjoyed the experience and plenty of parents came to support. The A team lost 10 tries to 7 and the B’s lost 12 tries to 2.
12 pupils represented the school in the regional Science Quiz , held at St Dominic’s School, Brewood in Staffs. Each of our 3 teams worked well together and showed various ways of implementing the strategies for tackling multiple choice questions that they had been advised upon by the quizmaster and by Mrs Sethi.
Nottingham High Team 1 were runners-up with 1255 points
After the finale of the quiz, as contestants and audience members gathered refreshments, the quizmaster was surprised and delighted to find a line of NHIJS pupils waiting to shake his hand and thank him. Yusuf B had immediately decided upon this course of action and it is to our pupils’ credit that they all agreed with him.
Well done to them all.
Congratulation to the following pupils on their various achievements:
Yusuf B for being an excellent ambassador for our school representing us with exceptional manners.
Jack S, Thomas B & William H for their hard work in setting up and putting away the iPads and general organisation. They have certainly taken on the role with enthusiasm and commitment.
Finlay C -D – for being really brave following a collision in the playground last Friday. He sustained an injury above his eye, which bled profusely, but he didn’t make a fuss.
