Rugby BallRugby
Against Birkdale, our B and C teams lost by 1 score, 4 tries to our 3. The Under 11s A’s lost 11 tries to 2 against a very organised team.

Against Fairfield, our U10s A won 3 tries to 2 Great defensive performance from all of the team as we were under the cosh for a considerable time. Try scorers were Luca V 2 and Ashley H

U10s B won 5 tries to 3 – the U10B team played superb yesterday against Fairfield with some great defence by Robert G and Toyan G, along with Thomas B showing off his tackling skills.  Harrison S played his first fixture this year and really got stuck into it.  We had 2 tries from Leon E, and 1 x Vuyo M, 1 x Mohintan A and 1 x Thomas B where our final score was 5-3 to NHIJS.

U11s A Lost 14 tries to 2 – a good organised display but lost to a better team. Good performances particularly Oliver H and Zak I.

U11s B Lost 5 tries to 2 – the B team played really good rugby and spent a lot of the time in their opponents half. Joshua McK scored both tries but there were some great performances from the rest of the team. They just lacked a player with speed who could sprint clear of the defence and then score like our opposition did. However special mention must go to Milad F-B, Arrandeep M and Hector M who were outstanding and have certainly improved tremendously over the term.

 RunCross Country

The cross country runners performed well in Newark. They were very well behaved and supported each other during the races. The under 9 team finished 4th and the under 11 team finished 3rd. We did have two trophy winners, Isaac M won the race and Luca V finished 3rd.

FootballerFootball County Cup result: Our 11 football team defeated Candleby Lane on Friday evening 8-2. Scorers were Max M-S (4), Isaac M (2), Ben M & Luca V. It was a bitterly cold & wet evening, but we played our best football of the season. MOM were Max M-S and Ben M.

Nottingham Schools Indoor 5 a Side Our Under 11  5-a-side team came third in this competition.

SwimmingSwimming

FootballerFootball On Friday 13th November the U10s football team lost 2-1 at Fernwood. We went ahead in the first half after Lohit D calmly slotted the ball in the corner of the goal. However, Fernwood came back strongly and we conceded two goals under pressure from their attacking play.

Good performances were seen in Joshua L in goal and Lohit D (man of the match) in midfield. I was impressed with the way the team played – we have had very little training and Fernwood are one of the best teams in our league, so we can be pleased with this result.                                                                       Mr Shaw
