SwimmingSwimming Gala against QEGS, Wakefield.

On Wednesday 5th February, 2014, the U9s, 10s and 11s A and B teams set off to Wakefield for their first away fixture. The boys had worked hard during their Tuesday lunchtime sessions and were looking forward to a good gala against strong competition.

The gala started with the medley relays in all age groups, followed by individual events and then finished off with breaststroke relays and freestyle relays. There were some close races and exciting finishes and the boys were a real credit to themselves and the school.  The results were as follows:

Our boys swam extremely well against strong competition and many swam the very best that they had ever done. The U11s were particularly pleased with an outstanding win in their age group.

Many thanks to the parents who travelled up to Wakefield to support us and to Tom C. who accompanied us for the day.

Well done boys.

Yousef AM.  picked up another individual silver medal and Ben N. won the bronze medal.

Congratulations to all boys who attended this event.
