On Tuesday 15th October, the NGHS came over for a home fixture against our boys’ teams. This year children from Years 4, 5 and 6 were selected to represent their year group, many for the first time. After an exciting start in the Medley relays, pupils from both the schools swam exceedingly well in the individual 25m events, with some very exciting and close finishes. Freestyle relays were then held for both age groups and again there was some excellent swimming. The final scores were as follows:

1st NBHS A team: 90 points

2nd NGHS A team: 61 points

3rd NBHS B team:  52 points

4th NGHS B team: 33 points

Many thanks to Mrs Sethi for doing a fine job of positions; to our wonderful timekeepers – Tom Cracknell, Charlotte King, Mrs Podesta and Mrs Renton; to our lifeguards and behind the scenes staff for helping out and making the gala a resounding success.  Of course, a special mention of thanks to Mrs Whittamore for her superb organisation of this event.
