Infants at Lovell House
Well done! You did your best,
Well done! We’re so impressed,
Well done! Congratulations,
You deserve the praises!
Respect, Reach and Responsibility
As ever, this assembly at Lovell was a delightful event.
We were lucky enough to have George A play ‘Old McDonald’ on the piano at the end of the assembly.
Reception: Max M for super effort with phonics.
Year1B: James B for improving his listening skills at school.
Year 1F: Sam for his beautiful art collage
Year 2M: To all 2M for working so hard in their assessments.
Year 2W: To all 2W for working so hard in their assessments.
Reception: Umair for being kind, smiley and helpful. Umair helped to tidy up without being asked!
Year1B: Matthew M for excellent behaviour inside and outside the classroom.
Year 1F: George for excellent behaviour.
Year 2M: Harry for trying really hard and reaching to do his best to improve his handwriting.
Year 2W: Ryan for being a super Y2 boy, helpful and kind.
These boys are allowed to take home ‘Nutty’ the class squirrel and look after him all weekend and helping to write the Squirrel Diary. The ‘Nuttys’ each had very exciting weekends last week, taking part in a variety of activities with their boys including eating pizza, playing cricket and reading bed-time stories. Life is full of excitement for Lovell House squirrels!
We also congratulated Jai for achieving his ‘Preliminary Award’ from Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
“When anger arises, think of the consequences”
The boys have been settling down well this week and there has been a buzz of excitement around the Junior building as clubs and activities begin. Personally, I am looking forward to Mrs Sethi’s ‘Cookery Club’ next week as she has asked me to be a ‘fairy cake’ adjudicator. Sadly, I am only allowed to judge on aesthetics and not taste!
We were delighted to hear of Harry E’s recent award from Mansfield Swimming Club. Harry was presented with a cup for coming 6th in the club’s 9 year old Champion Competition.
Edward M has won Answorth Cricket Club’s ‘Man of the Year Award’ and his brother Gwilym was cited for his dedication and effort in his first year of cricket.
Edward has also been chosen to play for the U11 Kwick cricket team and the U12 hardball team this season.
‘Panto’ time. (Oh, yes it is!)
Congratulations to Euan C who has been cast as one of the Lost Boys in Peter Pan at the Theatre Royal in this year’s pantomime. Euan performed his audition piece brilliantly to the Junior School this morning.
As usual you will be able to join other families at the ‘Friends’ outing to this pantomime at the end of term.
(Not to be confused with the whole school outing to ‘Jack & the Beanstalk’ at The Playhouse)
Student of the Week.
