Achievement Assembly @ NHJS Friday 12th October

This week has been quite an eventful week to say the least!

Today we had the task of lining the boys from each section of the High School in height order ready to take a photograph of the whole school community as part of Nottingham High School’s 500th anniversary.

Parents – if you pre-order your copy of the school photo before midnight on Sunday, 14th October you will receive a 10% discount. Please check your emails for further details.

Speaking of photographs, the eight House Captains and I were invited to the grand opening of the new Sainsbury’s Local on Wednesday and we were delighted to see ourselves in the Nottingham Evening Post along with Mr Fear (Senior Headmaster) and Mrs Cummings (Lovell Headteacher).

You can see that our House Captains managed to get their hands on a genuine Paralympic torch. They also received a goodie bag, as did the boys from Lovell House.

In terms of achievement assembly, it seems quite apt that we put in a sporty mood with our trip round the corner to Sainsbury’s with the opportunity to hold a Paralympic torch, as today’s Achievement Assembly focused on our results in both Cross Country and Football.
